Southwest Power Pool (SPP), Markets+ State Committee

Chairman | 2024 – Present

  • Leads a committee of state regulators from 13 Western states embedding state interests into the governance, market design, and operation of SPP's Markets+, a day-ahead energy market in the West slated to go live in 2027.
  • Previously served on the Markets+ Greenhouse Gas Task Force and the Resource Adequacy Task Force, working to keep Arizona's grid reliable without shifting the cost of other states' renewable energy mandates onto Arizona ratepayers.

Southwest Power Pool (SPP), Regional State Committee (RSC)

Represents Arizona's regulatory interests on the RSC, SPP's standing committee of state commissioners from across the broader SPP footprint.
